2022 MakingIn: Time
Satoru Ozaki (b. 1963- ) is a contemporary Japanese artist, renowned for his abstract sculptures in hand-hammered and hand-polished stainless steel.
Having received his MFA in 1993 and graduating head of his class at Japan’s leading school for the arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, Ozaki’s graduate work also received the prestigious Ataka Prize and was subsequently acquired by the University.
Ozaki has recently been acquired by both the Long Museum and the Simian Foundation in Shanghai, and his shimmering sculptures in stainless steel continue to sell out at acclaimed international art fairs such as TEFAF Maastricht, Masterpiece London, and West Bund Art and Design, among others.
Ozaki currently lives and works in Chiba Prefecture, Japan.
